This course is a gentle reawakening. Each session invites you to reconnect with parts of yourself that have been neglected or overwhelmed. You won’t just talk about your feelings — you’ll begin to take small, manageable steps to shift your mindset and reclaim your energy.

Together with your therapist, you’ll explore daily routines, thought patterns, and emotional blocks. You’ll be guided to rebuild structure in your life, find joy in small actions, and strengthen your ability to cope with difficult emotions.

As the weeks progress, many participants begin to feel more present, motivated, and emotionally lighter. The course is paced according to your energy, ensuring that healing doesn’t feel like a burden — but rather a steady path forward.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

Evelyn T. – United States
After a painful breakup and moving countries for work, I found myself feeling emotionally flat and unmotivated, though I didn’t call it depression at the time. I came across Wooden House through a Reddit thread and the calm, honest tone of the therapy course caught my attention. I was skeptical at first, but from the first session, I felt genuinely seen. The therapist never rushed me, and every session felt like a gentle unfolding. We set small, realistic goals that helped me slowly rebuild my mornings, reconnect with hobbies, and eat regularly again. I stayed in one of the guest rooms during the course, which made the whole experience feel like a quiet reset for my entire life.

I had been dealing with career burnout and felt emotionally numb for months. A friend in Chiang Mai recommended Wooden House after hearing about my struggles. What drew me in was the structure of the program — not just talking, but actual steps to take. The space was quiet and intimate, with a natural setting that made it easier to open up. My therapist helped me reframe my daily routine, and over the weeks, I started noticing small changes — cooking for myself again, reaching out to people, even laughing. I didn’t expect to feel this stable again.
Lina K. – Germany
Losing my dog after 12 years left a hole I didn’t know how to fill. I saw Wooden House pop up on Instagram and saved it without thinking much, but a few weeks later I booked a session out of desperation. The therapist was incredibly warm and helped me understand that grief can mimic depression. We didn’t just talk about the loss — we focused on how to live again. I still miss my dog every day, but I no longer feel paralyzed. The walks in the garden before and after sessions helped more than I can explain.
Haruto S. – Japan
When I moved to Bangkok for a fellowship, I expected excitement — instead, I felt isolated and emotionally drained. I found Wooden House through Google while searching for “quiet therapy spaces in Bangkok.” From the first consultation, I knew I was in the right place. The therapist had a way of helping me feel capable without pushing. I learned how to recognize my avoidance patterns and take tiny actions that helped shift my energy. I now have a gentle rhythm to my days and have even joined a local writing group — something I couldn’t have imagined three months ago.
Chloe M. – Canada
After losing a job I had tied my entire identity to, I spiraled — staying in bed, skipping meals, unable to even reply to friends. I came across Wooden House through Facebook. I appreciated that it wasn’t a clinical setting but more like a peaceful retreat. The therapy sessions were structured, yet deeply personal. We worked on rebuilding basic daily flow without judgment. I stayed in their guesthouse during the course, and that environment played a big part in my recovery. I left not only with energy but with tools I still use weekly.
Finn L. – Australia
I didn’t think I had depression — just thought I was “lazy” and “unmotivated.” A therapist friend back home suggested I look into behavioral therapy, and I found Wooden House through a blog about healing spaces in Thailand. What stood out to me was how the sessions were action-oriented but still gentle. We focused on what I could do rather than why I wasn’t doing anything. The atmosphere was incredibly safe, like therapy with the softness of a retreat. I'm not "fixed" — but I now know how to get unstuck when those heavy days come.
Gabriel T. – France
I’d been traveling for a year and hit a wall — emotionally foggy, disconnected, tired of pretending I was “living the dream.” I saw a flyer for Wooden House in a coworking space and signed up on impulse. The therapist was deeply intuitive and helped me recognize patterns I’d been ignoring for years. We slowly rebuilt small anchors in my life — regular sleep, journaling, meal prep — and my energy returned. The fact that it wasn’t just talk, but also practical, made all the difference. I’ve since recommended it to two other travelers who felt similarly adrift.
